A message to our community

After 20 years of meaningful impact, Climate Generation has closed our doors as of February 2026.

We are incredibly proud of what this community has built together—supporting educators, empowering youth leaders, and advancing climate action across Minnesota and beyond. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey: those who shared their stories, and who co- wrote, co-organized, co-led, co-educated, and co-created alongside us.

From local classrooms to international climate gatherings, from the Minnesota Youth Climate Summit to climate change education book clubs, this impact was made possible by you—educators, youth, and community members who built relationships, deepened understanding of climate justice, and took action in your own communities.

This work has always been rooted in the belief that informed, engaged communities can drive real change. We are deeply grateful to all who made that work possible.

Continuing the work

Our digital resources will continue to be available free of charge in the following locations:

  • Change Narrative, LLC will host the following climate storytelling resources: Storytelling Toolkit for the Classroom; Eyewitness book and discussion guide; and the Co-Mentorship Toolkit. Contact them for more details.
  • EcoRise will host the majority of Climate Generation’s education and action-based resources.
  • The Minnesota Youth Council will be continuing the Seal of Climate Literacy work.
