Lauren joined the Climate Generation team in summer of 2017 as the Communications Coordinator. Her core responsibilities are managing online engagement, print communications, and media outreach techniques. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she has spent her life storytelling, from writing in student publications to co-founding Daughter Lit Mag, an annual digital magazine for women. Lauren has bachelor’s degrees in Strategic Communications and English and is thrilled to use her gifts and talents to communicate the importance of climate change education. From participating in WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) to volunteering for the Sierra Club North Star Chapter, appreciating and protecting the environment is a life passion of hers. After college, Lauren served in AmeriCorps VISTA, building community outreach capacity and development strategies for a tutoring and creative writing nonprofit in St. Paul. In her free time, she loves traveling around to state and national parks for hiking and camping adventures, as well as making homemade herbal remedies.
