Over two dozen Senators are standing up for climate action tonight and calling on their peers to join them. The all night event is meant to galvanize support for President Obama’s Climate Action Plan.
The group of participating Senators includes veteran leaders for climate action including, Nevada’s Harry Reid, Massachusetts’ Ed Markey and Rhode Island’s Sheldon Whitehouse, along with some new voices. Both of Minnesota’s Senators, Democrats Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar will be participating. Unfortunately expected, no Republican Senators signed on to the new initiative.
