Our Best Hope is Here, Now

Today, inside Le Bourget, Al Gore shared a powerful message with COP21 negotiators. He clearly wanted to review the science and effects that climate change is already having around the world. I will let some of his slides do the talking.

All of these climate impacts have a compelling human element, of course. Here is the video he showed on flooding:

In addition to explaining the increase in floods and droughts, he outlined all of the human suffering that is accompanying these increasingly severe weather events.

Fortunately, his slides also demonstrated the real solutions coming into play, and Al had inspiring data on the speed and scale of the clean energy transition. This data came with some slides on trends:
