Youth Environmental Activists Minnesota (YEA! MN)

WSF is a co-sponsor for YEA! MN, a network of high school environmental clubs working together across the Twin Cities metro area. YEA! MN connects, engages, and empowers youth to create environmentally clean, just, and sustainable communities. There are 30 high schools in the YEA! MN network from a cross-section of urban and suburban districts.

Active campuses include :

  • Edina High School, Edina
  • Como High School, St Paul
  • South High School, Minneapolis
  • Southwest High School Minneapolis
  • Central High School, St Paul
  • Hopkins High School, Hopkins
  • Mounds Park Academy, St Paul
  • Irondale High School, New Brighton
  • School of Environmental Studies, Apple Valley

The organization provides resources for student environmental clubs, including a start-up kit, fundraising opportunities, and contacts for potential speakers and trainers. YEA! MN also provides ongoing opportunities to take part in climate action.

Trans-Campus Energy Action Movement MN(TEAM MN

WSF is proud to partner with TEAM MN to foster increased communication, collaboration, and student leadership between Minnesota colleges and universities around campus sustainability and climate change solutions. TEAM MN is dedicated to meeting the opportunities inherent in a clean energy future and working collaboratively to create a strong voice for Minnesota’s future.

TEAM MN has engaged over 450 students from across the state in their networks, including active members from the following campuses:

  • University of MN Morris
  • Macalester College, St Paul
  • St Olaf College, Northfield
  • Minneapolis Community and Technical College, Minneapolis
  • University of St Thomas, St Paul
  • College of St Benedicts/St Johns University, St Cloud
  • Hamline University, St Paul
  • University of St. Scholastica, Duluth
