I am pleased to announce that Climate Generation has internally restructured for greater impact.
As our organization has matured, it was time to examine our internal systems and chart a plan that allows for sustainability and future growth opportunities. Our staff positions and programming are now under one umbrella to increase synergy and collaboration across our staff, utilizing each program’s strengths, assets, and resources. The core values of our mission, strategy, and audience engagement have not changed. This refreshed structure represents an exciting new opportunity for us to improve the quality, reach, and preservation of our programs and to strengthen our operational efficiencies, financial performance, and sustainability.
As recently announced, Kristen Poppleton has been promoted to Director of Programs to evaluate impact, ensure integration of equity and policy engagement across our work, and to oversee strategic engagement of our key audiences: educators, youth, public and influentials. This new direction will ensure internal alignment and a consistent standard of programming, fundraising, budget management, and evaluation. Our Associate Director, Janet Brown, will continue to oversee Climate Generation’s development, operations, and communication activities. This allows for expanded executive focus on strategy, growth, and deeper work with our growing Board, Advisory Board, and network of supporters and partners.
I am also excited to announce Climate Generation is hiring a new Youth and Policy Manager to integrate youth and policy activities across our organization. This position will represent us in campaigns and new workforce development initiatives, while overseeing our robust YEA! MN program.
We’re energized by these changes and thankful to our wonderful partners and supporters who have helped us reach this important milestone. You will see slight changes in how we communicate our work with educators, youth, communities, but you can count on the same standard of excellence!
